Theodora, also known as the Wicked Witch of the West, is the secondary antagonist of the 2013 Disney fantasy adventure film Oz: the Great and Powerful.
She is a beautiful yet naive witch who is protected by her powerful sister Evanora. Theodora only wants peace to come to the Land of Oz and truly believes that Oscar is the great and powerful wizard that they have been waiting for. Unfortunately, she is tricked by Evanora into believing that Oscar is using her, causing her in turn to be transformed into the Wicked Witch of the West.
She was portrayed by Mila Kunis.
What Makes Her A Shonen Villain?[]
- Villainous: Wants to destroy the Munchkins and to kill Oz.
- Powerful/Skillful: Much as Evanora.
- Pursues a Big-End Goal: To get revenge on Oz for betraying her.
- Cold-Hearted/Ruthless: Wants to destroy the Muchkins just because she can.
- Short-Tempered: It's quite easy to get her angry.
- Psychopathic: The prime thing that makes her more heinous than Evanora herself is her wanting to destroy the Munchkins.
- Has a Sinister Laugh: It's one of her iconic moments (at least after being corrupted).
- Sadistic: Much like Evanora, Theodora likes torturing Glinda.
- Tragic Past: She was betrayed by Oz and corrupted be Evanora.
- Is a Game Changer: After being corrupted, she becomes an even more heinous villain than Evanora ever was.
