Steve Cobs is the main antagonist of Inanimate Insanity, being the overarching antagonist of the first and third seasons and the main antagonist of the second season.

What Makes Him A Shonen Villain?[]

  • Villainous: Tried to steal the young of the Light Shimmers, is abusive towards the MePhones, and made Knife and Suitcase fight each other out of sadism. He also went on a killing spree, wanting to delete all of the contestants, because he thinks it would be fun to end the show that way. After they all get temporarily deleted, he attempts to kill MePhone4, who still had the ability to restore them, so long as they finish the race before the red line touches them.
  • Powerful/Skillful: He was able to create MePhones who have reality warping powers with the use of the Light Shimmers and created MePhoneX, who was able to suck the life out of all of MePhone's contestants.
  • Pursues a Big-End Goal: He wants to make his devices as advanced as possible to boost his ego.
  • Arrogant: Brags about his intelligence in making devices and his superiority over his products.
  • Intelligent: Was able to create multiple devices, with some having the ability to create anything out of thin air, case in point, MePhone's sailboat, which he converted into a spaceship that was used to attack the Light Shimmers.
  • Cold-Hearted/Ruthless: When he took control of MePhoneX, he told the contestants to scream in terror.
  • Is A Game Changer: While Cobs wasn't needed to make the show darker, he is still taken completely seriously with him abusing MePhone4 and the rest of the devices he made if they don't do things right, planning to steal the Light Shimmers' young, revealing to Suitcase and Knife that MePhone4 created them and the rest of the contestants in the show, and controlling MePhoneX to suck the life out of all of the contestants.
  • Psychopathic: Lacks remorse or empathy for all of his actions.
  • Sadistic: Not only does he attempt to delete MePhone4's creations and enjoys doing so, but he also becomes even more sadistic when he thinks MePhone4 is not useful in his plans and claims to enjoy that if he kills him, he also kills the rest of the show's contestants and Spoiled Lemon.
  • Has Incompetent Minions; Knife was able to defeat one of Cobs's minions, MePhone6 just by touching him.
  • Bloodthirsty: He once made it a hobby to kill off the contestants by taking control of MePhoneX.
  • Has Comedic Moments: Has a Faux Affably Evil nature which often overlaps with him being Laughably Evil, especially when he commentates on Inanimate Insanity. Also seemed a little incompetent in Theft and Battery, his debut appearance.
  • Is A Secondary-Color Nemesis: He's a corn cob, so his husk is naturally green.
  • Is A Dark Lord: He wanted to kill off all of the contestants, and with his ADAMs, hired Toilet to kill them off.
