Redd White

Redd White is a major antagonist in Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, serving as the main antagonist of the second chapter. He is the corrupt, dumb and narcissistic CEO of Bluecorp.

What Makes Him a Shonen Villain?[]

  • Villainous: He ruined countless lives by blackmailing at least hundreds of people, which led to some of his victims committing suicide. While this is offscreen, we still see some onscreen effects such as newspaper articles and a folder that shows the names of people who killed themselves. Additionally, Redd has personal villainy towards Maya Fey given he killed her sister Mia and framed her and Phoenix for it.
  • Power-Hungry: He does anything he can to secure his status as the CEO of Bluecorp despite being too dimwitted to even earn such a high position of authority.
  • Pursues a Big-End Goal: His primary goal is to blame Phoenix and Maya for the death of Mia Fey, who was a friend of Phoenix and the sister of Maya.
  • Arrogant: He has a massive ego and takes pride in his crimes.
  • Cold-Hearted/Ruthless: Him killing Mia was done to cover up his criminal record and he adores blackmailing people without caring if they commit suicide because of him.
  • Short-Tempered: He is mainly aggressive and rude to Phoenix which only cements his plan to expose him in court.
  • Laughably Evil: His stupidity is sometimes played for laughs such as him making up fancy words, him not knowing what basic acronyms like CEO stand for (despite being one himself) and him being annoyed with Miles Edgeworth not understanding his name.
  • Narcissistic: He's incredibly vain and pretentious with no empathy for anyone but himself who will gleefully ruin the lives of many without of shred of remorse.
  • Psychopathic: He cares for no one but himself.
  • Sadistic: He gleefully blackmails people with no restraint or hesitation.
  • Bloodthirsty: He has no qualms about harming young people such as Mia.
  • Is a Secondary-Color Nemesis: His color scheme consists of purple hair, a pink suit and black shoes.
  • Has Black Air Force Energy: He shows a clear lack of regard for people's lives in general, as shown by the large number of suicides his blackmailing habits caused.
