~ Mr. Landlord threatening to blow up the city, unveiling the full magnitude of his plan |
Mr. Landlord is the main antagonist of the Smiling Friends episode "A Allan Adventure".
He is a highly successful landlord in the unnamed town who owns the apartment complex in which many civilians, specifically Allan Red, make their residence. He is the arch-nemesis of Allan who wants to hang out with him based on his obsession, having extended his hand quite far for the sake of mere company.
He is voiced by Zach Hadel, who is also the co-creator and voice of Gnarly within the same series.
What Makes Him a Shonen Villain?[]
- Villainous: He is perhaps the most truly villainous villain in the entire series. Even next to others such as Oscar, Mr. Frog, and the Frowning Friends, not only did he never show any willingness to reform from his evil ways, he is particularly malicious in tone with his elaborate evil plan speaking for itself.
- Skillful: He is highly intelligent and manipulative. Not only did he manage to lure Allan into his clutches, he also managed to further play him into hand for cooperation.
- Pursues a Big End-Goal: Although it comes across as simple and petty for him only wanting to be friends with Allan, he nevertheless went extremely far for such a specific purpose.
- Arrogant: Acted like a jerk playing Burnout: Revenge on his PS2, even saying "you suck" as well as other derogative remarks towards Allan about his gameplay.
- Intelligent: As a mastermind, he is specifically intelligent, having put together a highly-complicated and nearly successful plan.
- Cold-Hearted/Ruthless: For certain on such note. Following admitting to having planned everything, including the Sasquatch being killed, he showed no remorse for his actions. In addition, he threatened to suicide-bomb the entire city with an extremely powerful bomb vest if the latter doesn't agree to hang out with him.
- Laughably Evil: As with most villains in the franchise, he has plenty of comedic moments. Examples including the absurdity of his goal itself, the running joke of his polite request to Allan, and his remarks in their gameplay.
- Has a Sinister Laugh: After swearing that he will force Allan to hang out with him again, he burst out with a haunting laughter.
- Sadistic: Arranged a whole plan he knew could and would endanger the lives of innocent people in the wake.
- Has Incompetent Minions: Adding to how poorly DJ Spit ended up getting injured as a result of the arrangement, Allan ultimately came closer to retrieving the Paper Clips from the Sasquatch.
- Has Black Air Force Energy: Landlord ultimately has very little to no regard for the law. In addition to constantly smoking weed, he is confirmed to own illegal terrorist weaponry.
- Immature: He has very immature hobbies and an obsession with video games, diet soda and weed, and he even mocks Allan obnoxiously when they play together despite Mr. Landlord ramming his car in-game.
