Henry Evans is the main antagonist of the 1993 psychological thriller drama film The Good Son.
He was portrayed by Macaulay Culkin.
What Makes Him A Shonen Villain?[]
- Villainous: He killed his own baby brother, Richard Evans by drowning him with a rubber duck before the events of the movie. During the movie, he threw a dummy onto a road causing a massive road accident, which endangered many people, tried to kill his own sister, Connie Evans at an ice skating rink and finally tried to kill his own mother initially letting her fall to her death into and abyss and later, trying to crush her with a rock.
- Skillful: His skills include high intelligence, good marksmanship, technical skills and being an exceptional manipulator.
- Power-Hungry: He tries to have the power to do anything he likes.
- Pursues a Big-End Goal: His goal is to kill his own family so they wouldn't send him to a reformatory.
- Arrogant: He thinks everyone can die or suffer but him.
- Intelligent: He's incredibly intelligent and manipulator, being able to easily cover his crimes.
- Cold-Hearted/Ruthless: He's willing to murder anyone who represents a threat for his freedom.
- Short-Tempered: He can get angry for small reason, like when he got mad at Connie to because she entered his room.
- Psychopathic: He's definitely a psychopath with zero empathy for others.
- Narcissistic: He doesn't worry about the well-being of others. He only cares for his own fun.
- Sadistic: He enjoys doing bad things, which was shown when he smiled watching the road accident he caused.
- Freudian Excuse: His reason to kill Richard was his parents paid more attention to him.
- Serves as a Foil to the Hero/Protagonist: His the complete foil of his heroic and sympathetic cousin, Mark Evans.
